Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 Manual Dexterity
ON MANUAL DEXTERITY. EACH DAY I do tasks that the best of robots cannot yet accomplish: I grasp more than one object with one hand. In feeding our kitties, I manipulate cat bowl, measuring cup, and even occasionally my cell phone, all held by one hand.
Then don't play something so hard when you're still in the baby-steps stage of the instrument. Disagree with this, I'm where I'm at today because I shot for the stars. You're probably right in the fact the OP will probably get discouraged as hell (because when I first attempted Yngwie after 4 months of playing I did want to shoot myself), but because I kept at the Yngwie stuff my skill blossomed way faster than anyone around me. Of course this left my chord knowledge (shapes only, sort of; despite knowing the basic arps) behind but set my finger independence up huge so I could pick it up in a few days:p Never set the bar low. Though of course if the OP is confused on how to hold the guitar/can't make two fingers rub together for dick all then I'd definitely agree with you there.: ).

Play something challenging, yes. Trying to tackle a semi-difficult Van Halen piece involving tapping on an instrument that isn't so receptive to tapping after only 2 months, no.
What string is this on? If you're having trouble, try playing it on a lower string but higher on the fret board. Since the frets are smaller, you wouldn't have to stretch as far. The guitar is very idiosyncratic, so it simply repeats itself. I have large hands and 2 to 7 is hard.
I've seen Eddie play this song live and he played it on the middle of the neck, D and G strings mostly. If that 2nd to 7th fret is on the B string for instance, then simply move your hand up to the 6th fret of the G string and play 6th fret to 10th fret. Ignorance is NOT just what you DO NOT know but what you WILL NOT know. 2-7 isn't that big of a stretch when you work on finger dexterity and other stretches.
Incorporate 5 to 10 minutes of stretches into your practice routine and you should be able to do it in no time. The largest stretch that I feel is possible on a guitar is a perfect tenth, first fret low E string to the 7th fret D string. Looks like this. - - -7- - -1- A good practice chord is the Shawn Lane Chord, also known as 'The worlds hardest chord'.0- -6- -12- -10- -8- - Middle, Ring and Pinky for the 8, 10, and 12, then use your index for the 6.

So this is my first post on here. Until recently I've been using Blackstar amps. My drummer owns a music store and he got a 2266C traded in.
One of the first ones I think from the date 2007. Anyway he let me know and I tried it out.
Man it kick the Artisan 30's butt. With the VM I can put either humbuckers or single coils in and it sounds great. With the Artisan humbuckers always sound too muddy. So I've been playing with is a lot and I have noticed a few issues. One is the classic rattling valves. I've seen posts on here about it which is why I joined.
You guys really seem to know your stuff. It looks like it's still the stock valves. I have dampers on order so I'll try them. Kamus bahasa inggris indonesia pdf writer.
Anyone suggest things to reduce the rattle? Parts to tighten up, specific brands of valves that cured the problem? Second is a kind of farty (for lack of a better word) sound when running bassier tones.
I've seen a thread that mentions breaking the speakers in but this looks to have been gigged. I have the body and detail at about 6 & 7 and the rest of the EQs and presence at 6. Any suggestions would be great. No probs man.
I'd heard mixed points about that. Some said it's the speakers others said it's the body. How high is too high?
I had mine on about 6ish and the volum on 3 in LDR. I'd used the search but the info was going back a while. Just wondered what people were experiencing down the road a year or 2? Some people say Gold Lion KT66's and somemention Watford Valves.
I checked the later out but they get bad reviews online. Anyone used the company and provide any feedback on the valves and service? I tried removing the back panel but that had no effect. Worst case I'll get a 2x12 Cab like the 1936. Anyone comment on how it sounds with these speakers? About the 'farty' bottom end, here's a couple things to experiment with and find what suits you best.
Simply run body higher and bass (EQ knob) lower or vice versa. Other thing you can try is the mid boost. Mid Boost is connected to Body so that if Body is on 0, Mid Boost doesn't effect in any way. Mid Boost boosts mids and low end so tone becomes thicker and gets more bottom end. Kick the Mid Boost in and you can keep Body lower. That's how I use it now to get tighter bass. But I change from that to just adjusting Body higher from time to time.

Hope this helps someway. To the forum! Thanks for the tips and the welcomes. I've stayed away from the mid boost as kicking it in didn't do anything for me but I'll try it that way as I haven't yet. Also I haven't tried the HDR side yet much as I tend to like a clean sound with a little dirt to it. I can't really try anything out at the moment as my in-laws are staying. So the gear in the spare room (or the guitar room as I like to call it) has been packed away.

Am really digging the VM. I shelled out and bought and AFD as I'd heard Slash used the VM then switched to the AFD100 but it wasn't for me. VM is still the best Marshall I've had. Also had a TSL but that hadn't been biased right and well, things didn't end well with it.
Once I get a chance to try these things I'll let ya'll know how I get on. One thing I did find weird is I run a Visual Sound Son of hyde and a Blackstar Ht-Drive. I can't get both of the to sound good. I can get a setting that make one sound nice, but the other will sound too harsh. Change the settings to make it sound good and the other then sounds naff. I tried also changing the settings on the pedals but am yet to find a good balance. Have heard though the VM is a tough beast to tame but worth it.
