. Part of the book series (SCIFICT) Abstract Pseudoscientists and science fiction authors share a vested interest in breaking the laws of physics—whether it is Newton’s law of gravity, Einstein’s speed-of-light limitation, the conservation of momentum or the laws of thermodynamics.

Put another viewpoint forward. Written by Raymond F. Jones for Astounding Science Fiction magazine, the story, entitled Noise Level described how American scientific and military leaders gathered the nation's best brains together -demanding that they develop 'anti-gravity' similar to that (supposedly) previously developed.

However, the motives in the two cases are quite different. SF writers want to create interesting stories; pseudoscientists want to take a stand against authority. To the latter the ultimate goal may be anti-gravity, free energy or perpetual motion; to the former it is more likely to be an antimatter-powered faster-than-light warp drive. This chapter compares and contrasts the two perspectives.

Would Stan Deyo like to see a real test device that show proof of 2 to 1 overunity in a permanent magnetic powered non electric self starting motor system that once developed could produce 15000 hp. This is at the same point as the wright brothers were before the engine was put on the airplane. How big did that go? Test show proof. Seeing is believing.
